Fantastic product!, March 26, 2011 This review is from: KidCo PeaPod Plus with Mattress (Baby Product) This product is wonderful and I have no idea why the previous reviewer gave it 3 stars. Look at the reviews for the red one of the same model. This is NOT a toy/play tent (obviously). It is for sleeping. We have one for each kid and use it when travelling. It is much lighter and more convenient than a pop-up crib and it also blocks light, making it easier for kids to sleep. You will need toddler-sized bed sheets for it; "play yard"/ pop-up crib sheets are too small for it. I put the sheet right over the top of the sleeping bag which I zip around the air mattress--it makes the bed nice and soft for them. We LOVE these tents!

Great item, missing mattress pad/sheet, June 13, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: KidCo PeaPod Plus with Mattress (Baby Product) This is a great item for travel because you know it will be clean when you go to a hotel instead of using a hotel crib and you can also use it by the pool and beach. However, I had the smaller version in red which was supposed to be for a child up to 3 years old but I doubt a child that big would fit comfortably in it at that age. I bought the bigger one but this one doesn't come with the pad that goes between the vinyl bottom and the baby which makes it easy to clean and also provides a layer of warmth. I called the company and they said this model doesn't come with the pad. Now, I have to go to the fabric store and make my own liner to fit the oval shape of this thing and velcro it down to the bottom of the liner. It's a REALLY stupid thing to do not include this in the package. When I called PeaPod to ask about it, they said all of them were made differently and gave me a bit of attitude. Bottom line, it's a decent product but it needs a liner pad cushion and some velcro so... Read more

My son proved that he was too big for his crib when he started flinging himself out of it at 18 months. We dutifully converted his crib into a toddler bed, and he Hated it. He wouldn't go near it, certainly wouldn't stay in it, and still avoids it to this day. We tried putting in a fun car toddler bed, which he still disliked, and finally just a mattress on the floor. All didn't work, he wouldn't lay on them, instead we would find him holed up in a pile of his laundry or behind the rocking chair - once he managed to fall asleep.
My mom came by with this tent and the results were immediate. He loves his tent, and carefully arranges his stuffed animals, books, toys, and blankets in it before going to sleep at night. I guess for some kids they just need the feeling of enclosed space to sleep properly. I would definitely recommend trying a... Read more
